You might be…ll

If you…

Like to  hang out and socialize but your mate always wants to stay home

Are the touchy-feely type and like to get close so people really understand you

Would like to…or do have sex three or more times a day

Are the first to speak when you think you know the answer

(Women) have more guy friends, play brothers and cousins than girl friends

(Men) need to hang out with the fellas at least twice a week

PHYSICAL

If you…

Would just like a quiet evening at home sometimes but your mate keeps pestering you to go out

After having sex would just like to be left alone

Like to just get to the point and can be spared the details

Like to wait a few days between sexual activities to allow the passion to rebuild

Really only have one true friend and you talk more to them about your problems than you do with your mate

Are terrified of being recognized in front of an audience

EMOTIONAL

Most people thought that Brad and Jennifer made a great couple, unfortunately, they didn’t think so.  In a recent interview, Brad expressed that the relationship was boring.  I wonder why that was?  Because they are both emotionals.  Now look at how the relationship between he and Angelina is working out.  Because…Angelina is a physical.  You should consider this when choosing a mate, it will make your life a lot easier.  Can you think of any other famous physical/emotionals… here are a few I’ve come up with.

President Obama – Emotional       Michelle Obama – Physical

Will Smith – Emotional                   Jada – Physical

Stedman – Emotional                      Oprah – Physical

Kim – Emotional                              Kris – Physical

Tia -Emotional                                 Tamara – Physical

Ochocinco – Physical                       Evelyn – Physical ……hmm

Nick – Emotional                              Mariah – Physical

Frazier – Emotional                          Ali – Physical

The Book Of Life

My wife and I were recently browsing the internet and decided to type our names in to see what came up… wow! Are you kidding me?  I found things that I didn’t even know about myself.  Things long forgotten began to surface.  Places I’d lived, pictures of family outings, I mean my entire life since the beginning of the internet age and before was looking back at me from this computer screen.

There was a man by the name of Edgar Cayce aka the sleeping prophet, he was known for having what we call psychic abilities.  Prominent indivuals of the time would stand in line for a chance to ask question about whatever they could think of; including Thomas Edison and Woodrow Wilson.  Cayce was a devout Christian who practiced hypnosis as a means of communicating with the ‘other side’.  When asked where he was retrieving this information, he replied, “the Akashic Records”.  For anyone not familiar with this term,

The akashic records (akasha is a Sanskrit word meaning “sky“, “space” or “aether“) is a term used in theosophy (and Anthroposophy) to describe a compendium of mystical knowledge encoded in a non-physical plane of existence. These records are described as containing all knowledge of human experience and the history of the cosmos.  People who describe the records assert that they are constantly updated automatically and that they can be accessed through astral projection[1] or when someone is placed under deep hypnosis.(Wikipedia)

This cosmic computer is referred to in many religions as the Book of Life.  It is an account of all that we’ve done since birth.  Why, pray tell is there a record being kept of all that we do in our lives?  Are we hoping to go back and relive those times?  Is it just for reminding us of where we come from?  Wanna know what I think?…of course you do…lol.  I think that just as it is termed the ‘Uni-verse’ (one collection of words) we are all only vibrations of sound traveling through the vacuum of space leaving our imprints as we go.

We write our own stories everyday oblivious to the fact that one day someone is going to read them.

Leave God Alone

I recall a song that was always sang in the church my family attended when I was a little boy.  The song was called “Jesus Will Work It Out”.  Whenever someone would sing that song, the church would go nuts.  As the singer continued onto the chorus, “Even got a light bill due, even got a gas bill too, I turned it over to the lord and he worked it out…”

Now, as with earlier posts, my goal is to get us to become more responsible for ourselves and our own actions.  It seems that our reactive mind-sets have allowed for sub-par performances in our lives far too long.  Too many of us depend on God for the wrong things.  God didn’t cause you to lose your temper at work and curse your boss and get fired.  Now you want him to help you pay your light bill…And your gas bill too?

We go to God for aches and pains, this and that when he already gave you the power to fix these things yourself!  Yes, even your temper.  However, we’ve been conditioned to sit back and allow things to be given to us, paid for us and so on.  Imagine if you were giving to yourself as much as you expect others to give to you.

Now why should we leave God alone with all of this non-sense?  Because when you actually get the concept of what God is, you’ll see how much of an untapped resource you’ve been sitting on.  You see, God as I know it to be, cannot even be classified as a him.  That’s a human personification of something that we don’t understand.  There are other dimensions of life right here on earth that we could explore if we weren’t focused on going to the club tonight.  Then you’re praying to God again because you went home drunk with someone and you don’t remember what happened!  And the cycle continues.

I hear all the time now from anyone I discuss this matter with, “well I’m not religious, I’m spiritual”.  I just continue the conversation because I know what they mean but I don’t know if they know a lot of the time what they mean.  For example, one definition of religious is: a member of an order or congregation living by such a rule.  Now most of these individuals are devout church members and do all that they can to live by the ‘rule’ of their ‘religion’.  So, how are they not religious?  The next thing I’d ask would be, “What’s the difference between right or wrong and good or bad?  Why is it that I can do good all of my life and still go to hell and someone else can do bad their entire life and go to heaven(as long as they repent)?  How does spirituality help answer this question?”  This normally changes the direction of the conversation.  Anger typically follows and an argument ensues.

Now let’s go back for a second to ‘suggestibility’.  What we believe in has been suggested to us from birth.  Even if you’ve gone the opposite direction than you were taught, you’re going that way to spite what was suggested to you.  Which brings us to our belief systems.  I dare you to speak on a topic that is contrary to someone’s belief system about anything and discover the voracity in which the person defends it.  This again is the power of suggestibility.  “This is what I believe, and no one can tell me differently!”

Well I am here to tell you differently.  We are capable of so much more than we even realize.  We’ve been mentally institutionalize to believe that this is all that Life has to offer.  We live, we die, we go to heaven or hell and live eternity there.  Well I’ll be honest, I don’t know what happens after we die, I haven’t spoken to anyone who died and came back to tell me what happens either.  What I do know is what’s going on right now while I’m alive and what I can do about it.  If we weren’t meant to be in control of our own lives then why on earth are we here?

The Blank Page

Talk to any writer and they’ll tell you of the overwhelming feeling of anxiety that comes when staring at a blank  page.  Be it stagnation from a temporary block or not being able to get it all out fast enough, the experience can be quite daunting.

Take a look at a sheet of paper.  Notice how the lines create a boxing-in effect, the page itself is a box.  This box represents our lives and the lines are the days of our lives.  The top of the page indicates the beginning of our lives where nothing is written but our names.  We learn to respond to being called by this label.  As we go down the page it would start to be filled with what we were told that life is all about.  The middle part of the page would represent us beginning to understand what we’ve been told and the process of acting accordingly.  The bottom of the page would represent how we began to live our lives according to what we’ve learned and now understand.

Today I’d like to propose something to you that would change your life as you now know it… turn the page over!  That’s right.  Turn over the page and this time you get to name yourself!  This time you get to write your own path.  Who do you want to be?  Where would you like to go?  You are now in control, all you have to do is write it down and act on it!  Once you’ve filled that page…go to the next one and keep writing until the book of your life is done.  I promise, it really is that simple.

So, let there be a great sound in the air from the sound of pens scratching the paper and boots hitting the ground… let’s go!

Old Spice…

I recently visited a local pharmacy to buy some deodorant as I had just finished my last stick.  What would normally be a two-minute drill turned into a ten minute epiphany.

As I encounter the isle of choice I’m confronted by a huge Old Spice deodorant display.  A thought flashes through my mind: “Ladies look at me, now look at your man, now look back at me.”  I laugh at first and shake my head as I walk past the display to find my usual brand.  Something strange begins to happen; I start questioning myself as to why wouldn’t  I buy the Old Spice.  Was it because I felt threatened by the NFL athlete  used in the commercial.  My wife seemed to find it pretty amusing.  No, I wasn’t threatened by a commercial…was I? Ok, then why would I buy it?  Maybe deep down I wanted to be that guy, maybe I could find the ‘swag’ the commercial promised.  So as I left the store with THREE sticks of Old Spice deodorant, I realized how effective hypnosis could be.

For anyone who doesn’t believe they’ve been hypnotized before, I encourage you to read further.  To dehypnotize, a few things must first take place. One, we must understand what hypnosis is. Dictionary.com defines hypnosis as: an artificially induced trance state resembling sleep, characterized by heightened susceptibility to suggestion. I tend to disagree with the “resembling sleep” statement unless it also refers to the daydreaming state in this same manner.

So what causes hypnosis? Well it’s not caused by some caped, black-bearded mystery man on stage yelling commands to zombie-like participants. (Don’t start believing what you see on tv now). Hypnosis is caused by an overload of message units to the brain and the brains attempt to escape this condition. In other words, any situation/s that causes what we perceive as stress  or anxiety sends us into overload. At this moment we are at our most vulnerable state to suggestions. Although we are still functioning in it, the world around us means absolutely nothing.

We also experience this state while for example enjoying music on our iPods or MP3 players. Think of how well you know the lyrics to your favorite song, no matter how old it is. Now think of how you learned it. You tuned out everything around you and focused on the feeling that was created while listening to the music and lyrics of the song…over and over again. You can now identify that song in a couple, if not just one note. The process used to learn that song is hypnosis. We choose everyday what we’d like to be hypnotized by. Just think of what you focus on most throughout your day; that’s what you’re currently hypnotizing yourself with. If you have a negative perspective on your situation, then you’re only suggesting more negativity to yourself and the situation. However, giving positive intentional suggestions to yourself changes the outcome of your situation to a planned or more desired one and that’s what hypno-therapy is all about.   Are we not just the manifestation of the collection of ideas and suggestions that we’ve accepted throughout our lifetime?

I’ll end this post by asking the questions: “What has been suggested to you in your life and why do you believe it?”

By the way, turns out I was allergic to the Old Spice and ended up with burns under my arms……..’
